On the morning of September 2, the university convened a preparatory meeting for the China-Central and Eastern European Countries (CEEC) Local Leaders' Meeting in Room 302 of the Mingde Building at the Changqing Campus. The meeting was chaired by Jiang Huaping, a member of the university’s Party Committee and vice president.

Jiang Huaping highlighted that since the establishment of the China-CEEC cooperation mechanism, it has greatly facilitated practical cooperation between China and CEEC in various fields, making it a model for cross-regional collaboration. The upcoming China-CEEC Local Leaders' Meeting will play a crucial role in promoting deeper exchanges and cooperation in shared educational resources, academic research, and innovations in industry-education integration. He emphasized that the meeting presents a valuable opportunity to enhance the internationalization of academic programs and expand collaborations with universities, research institutes, and enterprises in Central and Eastern Europe. Jiang also stressed the importance of attracting talent and introducing high-quality international resources through cooperation.

He called for all departments involved in the preparation to fulfill their respective responsibilities, work closely together, and ensure the smooth and successful execution of the event.

During the meeting, the leaders of the preparatory working group and related departments discussed the division of tasks for the organization of the event.

Attendees included officials from the Party Committee Office (University Office), the Publicity Department, the International Cooperation and Exchange Office (Office for Affairs in Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Macao), the Safety Management Office, the Industry-Education Integration Office, the Information Construction and Management Center, and the Weihai Campus Management Office.
