On the afternoon of September 30, a signing ceremony for the strategic cooperation agreement between the university and Jinan Rail Transit Group was held. Attendees included Wang Huanbin, Secretary of the Party Committee of the university; Kong Weijin, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and President of the university; Wang Baoqun, Member of the Party Committee and Vice President; and Li Xiuling, Member of the Party Committee and Vice President. From Jinan Rail Transit Group, the attendees were Gao Shujin, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the Board; Li Hu, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and General Manager; Lu Qingliang, Member of the Party Committee and Deputy General Manager; and Jin Fengyu, Deputy General Manager.

Wang Huanbin expressed warm congratulations on the signing of the strategic cooperation agreement and pointed out that establishing a strategic partnership between Shandong Jiaotong University and Jinan Rail Transit Group will strongly promote the integration of the education and talent development chain with the industrial and innovation chain. This is not only a firm action by both parties to study and implement the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China and contribute to the dream of building a strong transportation nation, but also an important step to advance university-enterprise cooperation, leverage complementary advantages, and share resources. He expressed hope that both parties will focus on talent cultivation, scientific innovation, and team building, using cooperation to drive development and innovation to seek breakthroughs, while continually expanding areas of cooperation and refining the content of collaboration. Together, they aim to contribute wisdom and strength to the cultivation of excellent talents, the advancement of science and technology, and the service of the rail transit industry, setting a new benchmark for the development of the industry.

Kong Weijin and Li Hu signed the strategic cooperation agreement on behalf of both parties. According to the agreement, the two sides will conduct in-depth, comprehensive, and diverse forms of collaboration in areas such as talent cultivation, scientific research, talent exchange, and skills training.

After the signing ceremony, Wang Huanbin, Kong Weijin, and their delegation visited Jinan Rail Transit Group’s Safety Control Center, Four-Dimensional Geological Environment Visualization Information System Platform, Integrated Service Center for the People, and the Shield Machine Production Workshop of Jinan Heavy Industry Group.

Leaders from the university’s Party Committee Office (University Office), Development Planning and Discipline Construction Office, Human Resources Department (Teacher Work Department, Talent Work Office), Research Department, Admissions and Employment Department, School of Civil Engineering, and School of Rail Transit attended the signing event.
